One of the best things about turning up for work (sometimes waaaay too early in the morning) is we get to work with some incredible local businesses, venues and clients – this last couple of months was no exception…
First up, our floral faves, Little Wren Flowers, completely blew our minds with an out-of-this-world floral installation, which featured alongside some of our vintage pendants at a Mindarriba wedding – very lucky couple! Plus Jeff Burke, the talent behind our highly sought-after trestle tables and bench seats, enjoyed a selection of our other popular hire items at his own daughter’s wedding and we couldn’t have been happier to be involved. Congratulations Jeff!
Of course, we have also been getting out and about to some stellar vineyard venues for weddings and events, such as Jackson’s Hill, Estate Tuscany, and Wonganella Estate Winery just to name a few. But we have to give a special mention to the sweeping views from the Hope Estate top-level balcony. We were tasked to complement the stunning surrounds with a full setup, including lighting and table settings…and the result was breathtaking, if we do say so ourselves.
It hasn’t all been about the wineries though…
Recently we had the absolute pleasure of decking out The Starlight Room at Wests New Lambton for the funny and fiercely honest blogger, Constance Hall – oh, and 450 of her fans. The theme was Mad Hatter and our styling included live moss table runners, delicate and decorative teapots overflowing with succulents, Spanish moss draped gorgeously about the place, plus a stack more spectacularly mismatched accessories. While we’re giving the amazing events team at Wests a shout out, we also had the pleasure of creating a Moby Dick inspired style and setup for the renowned Hobarts Restaurant. Picture weathered fishing nets, vintage glass fishing floats and incredible arrangements of delicate driftwood, seashells and coral adorning each table.
Talking all things nautical, Sydney’s Bayview Yacht Club also received the Crab Apple Hire & Style treatment. It happened to be for an amazing event manager, making the organisation of this event a dream (which is lucky because it was a 3-day full setup and pack down affair!)
We got our festival fix at the inaugural Love Lanes Festival in Wyong, which included lighting for three lanes of entertainment, stalls and eateries – and when it all came together and was filled up with around 4,500 visitors and the atmosphere was electric. Oh, we also provided tonnes of extra goodness such as cute-as picket fencing too. So much fun!
So as you can see it has been a super action packed couple of months with 50+ events in the calendar, but our final mention goes to an incredible 50th we were proud to be part of. The family went all out in celebration of this special milestone and in addition to chairs and tables we provided the likes of amber flagons and loads of other festival accessories to create a joyous party atmosphere.
No rest for the wicked,
